it seems to be more like an evolution-data-server, could you create a
new contact add the birthday information, save it restart the evolution
data server and see if it gets displayed on the clock applet? if it
doesn't work please restart the session as well, there's a bug upstream
about the requirement of restart the evolution data server sometimes for
the birthdays to be shown there, thanks in advance.
