Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
When switching between multiple tabs it's far too easy to close a tab by
accidentally clicking the [X] on the tab. Once you have 8 or 10 tabs
open the [X] takes up 1/3 of the tab's screen real estate, so if your
mouse click is off by just a bit you close the tab rather than switching
to it.
After losing work-in-progress several times I finally stopped using
Terminal and ended up installing enough of KDE so I could use Konsole
instead. I'd use Terminal if it wasn't for this problem.
I'd prefer to close tabs by typing "exit", or selecting File>Close Tab.
Any chance you could remove the [X], or have an option to turn them off?
Something like "Enable close button on tabs [checked]" that's checked by
default, where unchecking it gets rid of the [X] on the tabs?
