Do you mean: NVidia does not deliver open source drivers for my MD96630 notebook, so one can't work with Ubuntu/Linux etc. ? And is it the same story for the rest of the total hardware in this machine? Soundcard which don't work? Wlan which don't work? Tuning impossible for i.e LCD monitor,integrated Webcam, integrated microphone?
If that's so, than Linux-Ubuntu etc. is no longer in the picture for me to serve as a alternative operationsystem for M.s. Windows-Vista for this notebook, nor for a lot kinds of notebooks and desktops which all work fine under Windows! Than Linux-Ubuntu can really forget it to be a easy HUMAN alternative for the near future.
