thanks for the report, I've tried to reproduce that but it works fine
here i don't get 9 dots with a 8 letters length password, could you get
a gnome-screensaver log? please run it as: gnome-screensaver --no-daemon
--debug > gnome-screensaver.log 2>&1 and attach that resulting log to
the report?. you need to kill the gnome-screensaver first.
