I'm using The DarkRoom theme with original settings (icons, etc). I checked my logs, including .xsession-errors and none showed an error about this. It seems like its working but the icon is not showing up, which after a restart glitches the gnome-panel out and I have to kill it. After killing the panel it seems to work fine again minus the volume-applet not working.
