System: Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit running kernel 2.6.27-11-generic, gnome-
power-manager version 2.24.0-0ubuntu8.2
Gnome Power Manager records the characteristics of laptop batteries in
files stored in ~/.gnome2/gnome-power-manager. In order to handle users
who switch batteries, it has one file for every battery ever used on the
laptop. I don't change batteries, however, Gnome Power Manager
occasionally, possibly triggered by connecting the laptop to AC, creates
a new set of files and considers it a different battery. That means that
the power manager's feature of accurately estimating battery charge and
discharge times doesn't work for me.
Is this a known issue? If so, is there a workaround?
