Hello Yes you're right, I misunderstood, and I don't feel offended at all, I learn every day and that makes me feel so happy!!
Actually, I thought it was the same thing as with Windows: you've got the choice: EITHER to unlock by depressing CapLock OR by just depressing the shift key (unlock for ever till the next lock). The main advantage is that if you forgot the CapLock key, the first time you press shift, you cancel CapLock and do not have to retype a full line all in Cap. I don't know if I'm clear, but it is very convenient on Windows. Is there anything equivalent on Linux? Thanks anyway for your input Alfonso Gerard Alfonso Knaf a écrit : > ...me too. > Are you sure you do not missunderstand this line. > Shift only cancels Capslock for the time you hold it down... > Only a question, do not feel offended :-) > > -- Dapper 3: Shift cancels CapLock not OK https://launchpad.net/bugs/28907 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
