Some keyboard shortcuts (I have no clue which ones) seem to move gnome panels to the right or to the left. This happens even if the even if the 'allow panel to be moved property' is set to false. Other users have encountered the same problem and resetting the panel to the original position is real messy. (Need to remove icons to have free space in order to be able to select the panel and not the launchers..) This is a thread on the abuntu forums regarding this issue: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=669907 I have found the gnome panels fairly clunky to use in general find and there is real need for improvement. e.g. allow selection of multiple launchers to move them simultaneously is one, and some kind of auto-arrange function to distribute space between icons is another. on Ubuntu Intrepid ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Tags: needs-lspci-vvnn needs-xorglog -- Gnome panels get accidentally moved even if allow panel to be moved is set to false https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/350283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
