Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
I thought after 8.10 upgrade things would be better but I was wrong.
Before the upgrade I was constantly having to delete the IBEX and other
evolution files to allow it to re-index my e-mail folders as I was
constantly getting a strange corruption of my e-mails where the viewed
e-mail subject, sender etc... did not match the preview or actual e-mail
when fully opened. This was an unworkable situation as it would casue
1-2 hours of delay every time it would occure (1-2 times per week).
After the upgrade things started off well but with one big difference,
now it was taking al very long time for evolution to open the first
thing in the morning (5-10 mis) with lots of hard disk activity. Once
open there were several times where things would stop while folders
would be 'stored'. This was getting worse and worse each day and now I
have spent all morning without being able to do anything as evolution is
always storing folders.
Is there any way to export my e-mails and start over again?
