Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets
Jaunty beta. The location name in the clock applet preferences are selected with an auto completion list, which knows only english names of locations. In wheather applet, there is a location list organized by country, but there too names are in english. In both applets my town is known as Genoa. If in the clock applet I write Genova I won't ever find it. I was entering Genova, and saving location name => result: no wheather. It isn't possible that an italian user must know english in order to see his/her town wheather. The location list must be localized according to default language. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- clock applet and wheather applet: location names should be presented in default language, not in english https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356246 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
