Yes, it is reproducible, I understand the problem now. Put an "Indicator
Applet" on the panel and then move the "Window List" Applet over it.
Then the "Window List" applet will compress and become unreadable. I
don't quite see the point of this new "Indicator Applet", it seems
useless and it's currently a "ghost item" on my panel: it's there, it
compresses the other applets and I cannot remove it because it has zero
size (unless it becomes active somehow). The "Indicator Applet" should
have an "indicator" (something which indicates it's there, like
notification area etc.

** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Confirmed

** Summary changed:

- Jaunty: windows list in the gnome-panel broken
+ Jaunty: indicator applet cannot be removed from panel when inactive (it
simply cannot be seen)

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

- The latest updates broke my gnome-panel. I have the window list applet
- (v 2.26.0) in there and I cannot see the window tabs anymore, only a
- vertical white line.
