Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Hello,

I am using LinuxMint 6 Felicia
with Kernel Linux 2.6.27-7-generic
and GNOME 2.24.1

dual boot has been set up on installation of LinuxMint (Vista had been
installed already some time ago)

I played around with mounting folders so that my opera installation on
LinuxMint would be using specific mounted files/folders (containing user
settings) from the ntfs partition.
To be exact, I mounted two folders and a couple of files, whereas I used the
command 'mount --make-shared' for two folders.

Afterwards I removed the mounts (umount), having found another way to
make Opera use the files from the NTFS-partition.

However, somehow the two folders that had been mounted still appear in
my user-directory, with their whole Vista-path as their Linux-
foldernames (e.g.
/home/sando/C:\Users\Appdata\Sando\Local\Opera\Opera\mail).

How can I get rid of these? Looks like a bug to me, but be warned, I'm a
newbie...

I'm wondering whether the cause for this lies in using the mount --make-
shared option previously (although I can't unmount the paths anymore
since they're not mounted anymore, so I wouldn't think so)

OR

maybe this has to do with me altering the Opera-ini-file so that it
fetches configuration data from the NTFS partition, where I have another
Opera installed (somehow I doubt this one...)

additional comment: the NTFS-partition has a mountpoint (/media/sda1)
