Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
I always was able to see and work with Windows machines on my network
thorugh Samba.
Today unfortunatelly, I cannot see any Windows machine through Nautilus
file viewer. When I click on network, it shows a windows network and I
am able to enter in it and see the groups inside it. But When I try and
click on a group, it shows a error message saying:
Unable to mount location
Failed to retrieve share list from server
This only happens to one group, the other I am still able to check
inside.
I googled for some tips on this problem and found that using the IP some
people could access the machines. I gave a try here and it works: by
using the machine's IP I can see all the files within it (through
Nautilus), but it I try to navigate through Network locations, I am
unable to see the same machine.
This problem started suddenly today, there was no system upgrade.
Thanks in advance
