I don't know exactly what's the matter, nor the incriminated package, but here
is how to reproduce my bug (I don't know if there's some other consequences) :
just change your user password from "control center > about me"
logout and login: gnome asks you your password for remembering the Wifi WPA
key: your new password is refused, but the old one is accepted !
** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
