As above - sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart - doesn't work.
When i type it and hit enter - gnome is closing, then it goes to text mode and
'hangs' at:
* Reloading common Unix Printing System: cupsd
* Reloading system log daemon
It doesn't return to gnome (as in Ubuntu 8.10, or older).
** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
