Hi, Sorry, I don't have plans to upgrade to Jaunty yet, so I won't be able to test it anytime soon.
Anyway, here are few simple steps I can think of to trigger the bug. 1. Create a folder A. 2. Throw 2 different mp3( 1.mp3, 2.mp3 ) files into the folder. 3. Open up Rhythmbox to add the folder A. 4. Once in Rhythmbox rename 2.mp3's title by R-clicking, then properties and change the 'Title'( under 'Basic' tab ) to the exact same name as 1.mp3's 'Title'. 5. R-click on 1.mp3, then properties, then 'Lyrics' tab. Click on 'Edit', type any text. Click 'Save'. 6. Now, go to 2.mp3 and see the lyrics, it should be the exact same thing you typed in 1.mp3. Now, you might be asking why would users wanna do such a thing? Simple reason, I've bought an album by Joanna Wang, she happened to sing in both English( CD1 ) and Chinese( CD2, different folder ) and some of her tracks carry the same title but different language( which means different lyrics ). What I've done now to workaround the bug is to rename the title by adding '(chinese)' and '(english)' to the title. Hope this is clear enough to explain the bug. Is this considered a bug? I believe it is because Rhythmbox should treat every file differently even they are the exact same file but in different folders. My suggestion, to tie all lyrics file to a song based on a unique identifier( just my 2 cents ). Thanks!
