It appears that erasing the disc might not have happened correctly. In my dmesg output, I see the following whenever I insert the disc.
> [680380.973852] UDF-fs INFO UDF: Mounting volume 'BACKUP_032309', timestamp 2009/03/23 14:16 (1f10) It turns out that even after erasing the disc, the disc is mounted by the root user each time the disc is inserted. I can't access it as a normal user because the user and group of each file on the disc is '4294967295' and folders do not have execute permissions. The drive was reported as not even being recognized by me in Bug #104874 and I would like to close that bug, but I feel like I can't close it until the disc is readable, writable, erasable, and re-writable. -- Brasero won't burn a BD-RE disc after erasing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
