?? I'm talking about the trash icon (which you can make appear on the desktop using the gconf-editor). I only mentioned this because I tried to use the configuration editor to resolve my issue...but it didn't work.
I have tried everything but once you change the icon manually (not using a wholesale icon change with the Appearance Preferences) it is impossible to get it to work correctly afterward.
