Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
The Nautilus preferences dialog exceeds EeePC 900A screen height. EeePC
has only 1024widex600tall, and UNR 9.04 is itself consuming some of
those for the top bar of the UNR 9.04 interface. Problem is, when
Nautilus is opened as a file manager, the lower portion of the Nautilus
preferences dialog (edit menu, click preferences) extends well below
bottom edge of the EeePC screen. The lower portion of the dialog box
which cannot be seen is also the portion where the "OK" button, the
"APPLY" button, and the 'CANCEL" button are placed, as well as more
settings which cannot be seen. Novice users shouldn't be expected to
know how to configure a virtual screen for this.
NOTE: throughout UNR 9.04 there will be SEVERAL if not MANY dialogs and
popup windows which expect a minimum 800 pixels available screen height.
I saw similar problem on 6.06 years ago. I suggest optioning the dialogs
and similar windows so they will be given abilities to be dragged when a
modifier key+click+drag is executed on any part of the dialog
background. Also, explain such ability in a tutorial or first-run
activity.
