Using 8.04, totem-gstreamer 2.22.1-0ubuntu3; I also have this problem opening .ogg (video/x-theora+ogg) files (1st one from this page: http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Screencasts). I've tried without success to get crash report. Backtrace and Strace attached. video/mpeg files open without a problem.
