NOTE: I am using two different removable hard drives on the same AMD
XP3200 based computer which included two working DVD players. On one
hard drive I am using Ubuntu 8.10 and on the other Ubuntu 9.04. Other
than the two different hard drives the hardware configuration is
identical.
When inserting a movie DVD in either of the two DVD players Ubuntu 9.04
performs a plugin search for Movie Player but yields no packages
available and thus any attempt to play a movie DVD results in an error.
The same movie DVD playes fine on both DVD devices under Ubuntu 8.10.
