Sorry, still learning features and etiquette:
To recreate:
Set Nautilus prefs to display size of directory or file
Create directory - /home/user/Desktop/"X"
Use gedit to create a text file
Save that file through gedit, saving to /home/user/Desktop/"X"
The count of items in "X" will not update until F5 or Ctrl+R is pressed
OR until the directory is opened, thereby refreshing its item count.
I'm not sure what is being asked by "Is the issue with the count only
there?"
I have attached a screenshot showing the "test" directory the file is
saved in, along with the open text editor (to show the file has actually
been saved), and the terminal output of "ls -a" within the "test"
directory.
