ok, get this. I put this in my /etc/fstab:
//deb/andrea    /home/bkastor/test-mount smbfs
noauto,users,sync,username=andrea%password,dmask=777,fmask=777 0 0

(which I can type in .. using mount -t.. and it works)

After putting this in the fstab, I open a terminal and type in:
sudo mount //deb/andrea

It asks me for my password (sudo).. then HANGS... I have deleted this file and
created a new one.. just to be sure. But I can run this script without the
dmask and fmask options... Really weird? Nobody has contacted me about this
being a bug though... mabye I am not telling my story well enough?
thanks...
