Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
I had Evolution working fine [mail in/out] for about the first 2 days
until I decided to update my password at my ISP webmail end of things. I
verified that my new email password was working correctly via webmail
[via web browser] before restarting Evolution. When Evolution finished
loading, I could no longer send/receive email automatically, nor
manually with the [send/receive] toolbar button because it was no longer
active. I tried updating the Mail Account password to my new ISP email
password with no avail. I tried deleting my mail account then creating
another account from scratch. No change. I even told Evolution to forget
my passwords... again, no change. Frustrated, I re-installed all of the
Evolution software via Synaptic Package Manager. Now my Evolution is a
complete doorstop for email purposes - the entire toolbar is inactive,
and not just the send/receive button. I am completely removing Evolution
from my UBUNTU... unfortunate but necessary. I will try re-installing
the package at a later date. You might want to try duplicating this
error... very strange... I give up.
