Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Just that. On my home computer (Jaunty, running the latest version of
Rhythmbox) if I press a help button from within the Preferences dialog,
the entire app shuts down completely.
Here at work (also Jaunty and also the latest Rhythmbox) I get a
different result:
"There was an error displaying help: Unable to find the help files in
either /usr/share/gnome/help/rhythmbox or
/usr/share/gnome/help/rhythmbox. Please check your installation."
The app does NOT crash here. I will be glad to get you more specifics
later today once I am at home, if only you can provide me with the
details for which you'd like me to search.
You'll notice that it cites the exact same folder twice. For the record,
there is NO English-language folder within the referenced folder, but
rather a dozen other languages.
Just as an aside, isn't having help files in twelve languages I'm never
going to use kind of a waste of space? Especially considering that the
one language I do need never loaded at all. Once again, I thank you for
all of your work and attention to these problems.
