This is reproducible in jaunty as well. To reproduce: -wait until the screensaver turns on (im not sure how you would enable or disable the screensaver but you can set the time it takes to turn on in system -> preferences -> screensaver) -press the keyboard volume keys for me this includes ->this will show the volume changing but also close the screensaver
