I have an Acer Travelmate 6592 Notebook. In Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04
brightnesscontrol doesn't work. Neither the Applet in the panel nor the
Fn-Keys cann change brightnesslevel. On-screen-notification shows the
changig level of brightness but nothing happens. Changing brightness on
startup while grub is possible.
Gome-power-manager is 2.24.2-2ubuntu8
