Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
In karmic using KMS, gnome-display-properties shows both my laptop LCD and my external monitor as 'Unknown'. I know it gave useful descriptors to these in the past, so I think this is a regression connected to KMS itself. In any event, it is a regression vs. jaunty. /var/log/Xorg.0.log shows both a monitor name: (II) intel(0): Monitor name: L2210NW and an EDID vendor for the internal display: (II) intel(0): EDID vendor "LEN", prod id 16464 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Jun 2 12:06:57 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: gnome-control-center 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu4 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.30-6.7-generic SourcePackage: gnome-control-center Uname: Linux 2.6.30-6-generic x86_64 ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug regression-potential -- gnome-display-properties doesn't show output names with KMS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382873 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
