The behaviour there is identical to Nautilus at the moment, and so shouldn't really be changed. That would make the behaviour inconsistent across the desktop. There's already a bug report for Nautilus, although there are differing opinions on whether there should be a confirmation dialog or not, and upstream have already said they won't add one.
If you feel that there should be a dialog, would you mind reporting this at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ ? (I'm in the camp that doesn't think there should be a confirmation dialog for moving to trash) ** Changed in: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gedit (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - gedit delete files without confirmation + gedit moves files to trash without confirmation -- gedit moves files to trash without confirmation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/385124 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
