We need some more debugging information, please.
Could you run the following commands?
$ killall gnome-volume-manager
$ gnome-volume-manager -n 2>&1 | tee /tmp/gvm.log
(Now insert your thumb drive. After the output settles,
hit Control-C)
$ sudo lsusb -v 2>&1 | tee /tmp/lsusb.log
Then, please attach /tmp/gvm.log and /tmp/lsusb.log to
this bug report using the "Add Attachment" link on the bug
page.
