Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
The problem is twofold: Rhythmbox will not display an audio profile in the Preferences box if it can't find the binary for the profile, which is fine. However, there is nothing tells you why it doesn't show profiles it can't find the binary for. In practice, this means trying to enable MP3 encoding (for example) isn't possible and there is nothing to indicate why not. At the very least, the profile editor should indicate that the codec binary isn't available. Release is 9.04, installed from CD and updated from the 'net as of yesterday (June 14). ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- audio profiles won't appear even though they're marked active https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
