Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

The DVD playback is erratic; it tries to play, trailers play, and the
dvd menu appears. Player then freezes and plays the dvd is extremely
slow increments, like its making the slied up as ig goes along. All
sounds come through fine when using headphones, but very low through the
pc speakers. I am using a Dell Inspiron 1545. It used to run windows
vista before I made an error when installing Ubunto 8.10, and formatted
the disk by accident...!

I love Ubuntu very much, just not playing dvd's and low sounds from
speakers frustrating. Can you help?

I think the Bug reporter may be able to give you more information that I
can!

Thanks,

Steve B
