Something interesting that I found... One thing that does work: Open Firefox, Hit Alt-F (To open file menu), then hit Alt-Tab. As soon as Alt is hit, the menu closes so the following -Tab, -E, -V, etc. still work.
I assume this is a work-around that Firefox programmed in? Why can't that also be added in for all GTK+ programs? If a menu is open, and the Alt key is pressed/held down, the menu exits.
