Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon
According to a discussion with Matthew Paul Thomas, when changing the
volume from a script, gnome-settings-daemon should display the
corresponding notification bubble.
The script I am using relies on amixer to change the volume. It is
called by irexec when lirc detects the volume buttons keypresses on the
remote control. Here's an example script:
adyro...@panther:~$ cat lirc_scripts/volume_up.sh
#!/bin/bash
/usr/bin/amixer -c 0 set Master 10%+
adyro...@panther:~$
I am using Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64:
adyro...@panther:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
adyro...@panther:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-settings-daemon
gnome-settings-daemon:
