Binary package hint: evolution

I changed from thinderbird to evolution and want to have the same comfort in 
searching adresses out of adressbook.
Why evolution doesn't find adresses automaticly after typing the first part of 
an adress ?

How I can export and import emails from thunderbird to evolution an reverse ?
How I can export and import email-Adresses from thunderbird to evolution and 
reverse ?
