It's not the GNOME from the distribution CD, I did install it manually after uninstalling EVOLUTION caused it to be uninstalled. when I tried the uninstalls I tried them first in Synaptic Package Manager then in terminal...
I commanded: sudo apt-get remove (program name here.) Here's an example: jonat...@david:~$ sudo apt-get remove evolution [sudo] password for jonathan: Sorry, try again.
