for me also I cannot get gmail to work..just switched from Outlook 2007 where everything gets auto configured and now even with manual settings I cannot get it to work. I find it a very strange set up and wonder if I ever will get it to work? The program would look very promising and it looks that I would like it ..just cannot get it to work and got back to Office 2007 until I can get it to work.
