Thank you very much, Steve, for fixing this bug. I have applied your patch by recompiling gvfs from source and now the browsing of the network and of the shares is working as expected. However I'm still experiencing a known issue with nautilus: double clicking the first time on a share icon does not open a new window, I have to double click again a second time to actually open it. This should have been fixed by the 91_svn_change_new_mounts_correctly_displayed.patch reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/251809/comments/47 Looking at the changelogs of the nautilus version in hardy I did not find a mention to this patch.
