Rather it sounds like this is a gtk bug, if menus in those non-gtk apps are 
working okay.
If you find that you can eliminate the problem by downgrading to a different 
version of the video driver, you're welcome to reopen the -intel task, but 
please indicate the version and provide additional evidence that it is a driver 
bug.
