Hello, This happened to me for the first time this week.
Has stated, there seemed to be no particular reason for this, no crash, no disk full... In fact all between the <note> tags vanished in the .gnome2/stickynotes, so the size and the layout of the notes was still the same, but no content in. The last note I edited was a SQL query, so no peculiar fancy characters, except maybe ' " ` Next day, no content in the notes.
