Definitely reproduceable.
1. Load pidgin.
2. Open Sound Preferences. (System->Preferences->Sound)
3. Open the applications tab of Sound Preferences.
4. Watch Pidgin appear multiple times, as pidgin produces sounds (e.g. on
arrival of messages)
