Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gedit
Opening a simple textfile (70 lines) in the gedit and clicking with the left
mouse button anywhere to the document causes 2 issues:
- on mouse button up the complete text moves 1px left and immediately 1px back,
playing tricks with my eyes
- the memory usage of the X increases
If I am burst-clicking for cca half a minute, then X server eats 50% of
the memory and the swapfile grows. After closing the gedit, the memory
releases.
Afterwards I ran gedit from the commandline: gedit myfile
Then I get segfault that is already reported as a bug number 402225. But
if I start gedit without specifying the file to open and I select that
file from the gedit menu then the file is opened. Still there is the X
memory leak.
