Thanks for answering. I found that I had to install the totem/xine player instead of the totem/gstreamer. Even when I install this, the totem player would completely disappear. I then did some more searching, and I found that I had to reinstall the libdevcss2 library for my DVD player to work correctly. Once that was installed everything started working.
