Ubuntu Jaunty 64 bit, updated to present date. A couple of additional info:
1. The problem also presents itself with two POP accounts (gmail). So, it does not seem necessarily related to exchange, IMAP or similar. 2. For me the culprit does not seem to be "evolution" but "evolution- data-server-2.26". In fact even killing the evolution client, won't restore my system normal behaviour. I have first to issue "sudo killall evolution-data-server-2.26" and then I can open evolution again and work normally.
