Binary package hint: gnome-session
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)

Hibernate should be disabled system-wide when no swap space exists.
I have a hibernate button on the shut down menu and my machine supports
hibernation, but when I press the button I get a response as if the
machine would suspend and the screen blanks for a moment, but then
returns as quickly as it went away, with no warning as to what happend
or what failed. I know that I cannot hibernate because I did not
allocate a swap file on the install.
In addition, during the install when opting to proceed with no swap, it
should be noted in the existing alert that hibernate will be disable,
and it should be disabled, please advise where I should post that as its
own bug/suggestion.
