As of karmic I can no longer eject a DVD without being required to type
in my password.
I also cannot eject a DVD by pressing the eject button on the DVD
Reader. I have to eject a DVD by right-clicking on the DVD Desktop icon
and selecting Eject, which is followed by a password prompt.
