Public bug reported: [Problem] A status throbber shows up in certain circumstances when unmounting a cdrom, that indicates it is writing to the device, when the device in question is read-only.
[Discussion] In looking at a series of CDs, inserting and ejecting each in turn, once and a while (seems like 5-10% of the time), it will briefly display a status widget that indicates it is writing to the device. This is not correct because the CD is read-only (indeed the drive is just a CDROM, no write abilities at all). ** Affects: devicekit-disks (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: ubuntu => nautilus (Ubuntu) -- Dialog displays "writing to cdrom" when unmounting a read-only cd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/419781 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
