You have been subscribed to a public bug:
1) Ubuntu 9.10 amd64 (freshly upgraded from Ubuntu 9.04 using dist-upgrade)
2) This is related to nautilus
3) When I uncheck the "Keep aligned" (or something similar - my desktop is in
french) I expect it to be permanent, for example, to stay off at the next
reboot.
4) The auto align icons features get reactivated at each boot. This is
annoying, as my icons are reorganized at each boot in a way that I don't like.
This is maybe related to the 9.04 -> 9.10 upgrade via dist-upgrade. I
will try to install Ubuntu 9.10 VirtualBox to see if I can reproduce
this bug.
PS : The auto alignement feature I am talking about is when you right
click on your desktop -> Keep aligned
