I think I found the problem:
I am using the German localized version. Where the English version
states "Open Link in New Window" - which it does - the German says
"Verweis in neuem Reiter öffnen" - which means "open in new tab".
Therefore this looks like a translation error to me. Not like a bad
translation - it is wrong in this case.
