I never had this problem with Intrepid, as reported in a similar report
- this is with Jaunty (gnome). The problem, which Ubuntu engineers have
acknowledged as being associated with a Jaunty's modification to the
standard gui shutdown applet (the delay cycle), is that the applet
functions which terminate a session end it with a beep from the tower
box, and not the default or user-specified sound clip on the
System->Preferences->Sounds "Logout" line. This issue has been reported
by other users in forums, but no solutions have been offered.
** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
